A good lounge set becomes the thing you change into the moment you get home. A bad one pills after three washes and ends up at the back of a drawer. Here's how to tell them apart before you buy.
Start with the fabric
Fabric decides almost everything: how it feels, how it breathes, and how it ages.
- Rib knit has gentle stretch and a cozy texture. Great for sets you wear all day.
- Bamboo viscose feels smooth and cool to the touch, and drapes beautifully. A favorite for sleep.
- Modal is silky-soft and light, and holds its shape well.
- French terry is soft and looped on the inside, a little heavier. Perfect for cooler evenings.
- Waffle knit is airy and textured, lovely for robes.
If you can, look for the fabric weight. Heavier fabrics usually last longer and drape better.
Get the fit right
Loungewear should feel relaxed, never sloppy. Look for:
- A waistband that stays put without digging in.
- Sleeves and legs with room to move, so you can sit cross-legged on the sofa.
- The model's height and size on the product page, so you can picture it on you.
When in doubt, check the size chart against a set you already love.
Look at the details
Good construction shows in small places: neat, flat seams, cuffs that keep their shape, and a neckline that doesn't stretch out.
Care for it gently
Wash cold, skip the dryer when you can, and lay knits flat to dry. It's the easiest way to keep a set soft for years.
Think about when you'll wear it
Slow weekend mornings call for something cozy. Warm nights need something light and breathable. Many people end up with one of each.
Every Soft Mila piece lists its fabric, fit and care on the product page. Compare them in our fabric guide, find your size in the size guide, or browse the collection.
Rest well. Live fully.
